LPN is a licensed practical nurse which means you have to have a license to work in the field. First, you have to study from an accredited LPN school nearest you. Second, you have to take an exam and pass all the tests including 70 hours of hands-on training. That means you have to go to school and not able to take LPN online.
After you finish your classes and before you can go to work as LPN you have to take and pass NCLEX-PN exam. This is at the state level. You also have to renew your license every year.
LPN is really great where you are not sure if a nursing career is something you want to pursue. LPN takes around 12 months to get your license and you can take accelerated classes to get done in 6 months. Check for schools that help you pass the NCLEX-PN exam. Some schools also help you get a job. So asking questions is very important.
